Nebulizers made of polymers are a good choice for analysis of sample solutions containing hydrofluoric acid (HF), because glass is attacked by HF. »DuraMist« nebulizers made from PEEK (also for salt content up to 30% TDS) or »PolyPro« made of PP are well suited for samples containing less than 5% fluoric acid. For higher HF concentrations »OpalMist« and »MicroFlow« nebulizers made of PFA are recommended. Nebulizers made of PFA help you to reduce blanks to a minimum since PFA is an inert and pure fluoropolymer. Hence, it is ideal for detection of lowest element traces in ultra-trace analysis. For efficient delivery of smallest sample volumes, some »MicroFlow« nebulizers are available with fixed sample capillary.
The use of different ID sample capillaries allows adjusting the sample uptake rate of PFA-ST and PolyPro-ST Nebulizers when used in self-aspiration mode.
