Advanced Structured Illumination and Modular Imaging Solutions
by Mightex
We are expanding our established portfolio for spectral light qualification through optical filters and light generation through high-end LED light sources — with the advanced light pattern projection and modular Imaging systems from Mightex (Canada). AHF becomes your one-stop shop for the generation, the spectral exact definition and tuning as well as temporal and spatially precise shaping and analysis of light.
Structured illumination has evolved into a highly versatile technique for precisely controlling and modulating light-sensitive physiological, chemical, and physical processes – with exceptional spatial and temporal accuracy. It is gaining increasing prominence across both natural sciences and industry, where it is being explored in a wide range of pioneering and cutting-edge applications.
Polygon Series
Utilizing state-of-the-art Digital Mirror Device (DMD) technology, the Mightex Polygon systems enable the generation and projection of freely defined light patterns or even dynamic video sequences through any objective lens. Applications for the Polygon range from optogenetics and photopharmacology to Micropatterning and Opto-Electronic Tweezer (OET) applications. The Polygon pattern projectors can be seamlessly integrated into the optical path of an existing laboratory microscope or combined with Mightex’s standalone imaging platforms of the OASIS product family.
Polygon 1000-G / DL / DI / UHC
Using standard light coupling systems (3 mm LLG or SMA ports) on all Polygon models, both Mightex and proprietary LED or laser light sources can be easily coupled into the system. If the requirements for a light source change during the course of the experiment, the systems can also be adapted. There are currently four versions of the Polygon 1000 light pattern projector.
OASIS Series
Mightex advanced and unique imaging systems of the OASIS series provides a highly modular and adaptive platform for imaging applications ranging from simple widefield microscopy to cutting-edge fiberscope applications supporting parallel imaging and optical stimulation at subcellular resolution in In Vivo imaging settings.
OASIS Micro
A minimalistic yet highly modular and reconfigurable microscope platform designed for cellular-resolution imaging and optogenetic applications. Universal mounts allow use of 3rd party cameras and objectives, so the OASIS Micro can be individually tailored to experimental needs. It can be used for all standard microscopy imaging applications in the upright configuration and comes with the smallest possible footprint. The OASIS Micro can be configured as a multi-deck setup, allowing Multicolor imaging, light pattern stimulation or even both applications in parallel.
OASIS Macro
A flexible and modular mesoscope system designed for large-field fluorescence- and calcium imaging applications, making it ideal for optogenetic stimulation requiring larger projection areas. With its large objectives a wider beam path and infinity-corrected optics, the macro-imaging system accommodates low-magnification, high-NA macro objectives for high intensity and large area imaging, illumination and pattern projection. Just like the Micro, also the OASIS Macro can be configured as a Multi-deck setup, allowing multicolor imaging, light pattern stimulation or even both applications in parallel.
OASIS Photometry
In the Photometry configuration, up to three reporters can be monitored in parallel, and up to 19 animals/regions can be recorded with split fiber configurations, a unique solution for medium throughput experimental needs.
OASIS Fiberscope
The modular upgrade option to the OASIS fiberscope configuration, optionally with a Polygon pattern projector, allows to use microfiber-bundles with up to 30.000 ultrathin sub-fibers in a 1.5mm fiber for cellular resolution imaging and optical stimulation – in parallel and in-vivo settings for investigating complex correlations of neuronal function and behavior.
We’re Happy to Assist!
As your trusted and competent partner, we support you in configuring your setup for optimal performance in your specific application. The use of the modular Mightex devices requires a set of well selected proprietary mechanical and optical adapters and items. But don‘t worry about configuring all the bits and pieces yourself, just let us know what you intend to do and from where you want to start and we make it work – smooth, personally and independent - without any risks of missing something or over-configuring the planned setup.
