AHF analysentechnik provides the newest generation of LED light sources/light engines from leading manufacturers, like Lumencor, CoolLED and Excelitas!

They produce a strong output power, 25,000 hours LED life-time in combination with very stable intensity output over time (Peak-to-Peak Noise 2% in 24 hour continuous operation mode). LEDs which are triggerable in µs range allow time-crucial experiments. Therefore, the light source is only activated when its needed.

We recommend individual single- or multiband filter sets which are optimally matched to your LED light sources (e.g. Lumencor SPECTRA X, CoolLED pE-4000 or Excelitas Turbo) and also, crucially, to application.

White-light LED light sources can replace common HBO/Metal-halide lamps at comparable output power. They combine of the advantages of LED technology like fast switching times at very long lifetime without harming the environment as they contain no mercury (unlike Metal Halide or HG lamps). Many existing filter sets can still be used with these light sources, for example with the SOLA or pE-300. If there is any need for optimization we can provide specially matched filter sets.

Besides fluorescence excitation, these light sources can also be utilised whenever high output power in a small space is required, e.g. automated quality control in production processes or in curing of adhesives.

The AHF TriggerBox

The TriggerBox is an NI 6501 compatible interface device that gets connected between computer and light source via BNC and USB, allowing you a flexible triggering of your TTL controllable light source by using your imaging software (e.g. Metamorph, µManager, NIKON NIS, Olympus CellSens). The It is a compact device equipped with 8/10 signal-out ports. Signals are processed inside the device within microseconds.
